Training Options


 

One Day Foundation ( 6 hours)

Description: Aimed at low risk service settings: Mainstream Secondary, Primary Schools, Nurseries, Children's Hospitals, Elderly Care etc. This course covers: personal safety, specific risk reductions strategies, positive handling, together with documentation and legal guidance.

An initial visit by the lead trainer, meeting with management, will determine the content of the course. There are no open courses that individuals from different settings can sign up for. Team Teach Ltd's courses are delivered "in house" to meet specific needs.

Two Day Basic ( 12 hours)

Description: Aimed at medium risk service settings: Special Schools, PRU's Children's Homes, Elderly Care etc. This course covers: personal safety, specific risk reductions strategies, a range of positive handling and interventions, together with a focus on policy, documentation and legal guidance.

An initial visit by the lead trainer, meeting with management, will determine the content of the course. There are no open courses that individuals from different settings can sign up for. Team Teach Ltd's courses are delivered "in house" to meet specific needs.

Advanced Modules

Description: Modules aimed at high risk Service Settings: Special Schools, PRU's, Secure Units, Children's Homes, Elderly Care etc. These modules cover personal safety, risk reductions strategies, a range of positive handling and interventions in response to dangerous behaviour. Areas covered: Everyday objects used as weapons, transport and safe ground hold postions.

Intermediate Train-the-Trainer Course

Description: This course will enable participants to cascade training within their employer's service settings within permitted trainer ratios.Two trainers are required for new staff training events. Successful participants will be licenced to delivery both the 6 Hour Foundation and 12 Hour Basic Course to employees of their employer. This five day intensive course will provide Tutors with a wide range of positive handing and interventions strategies and legal knowledge to deliver the aforementioned courses.

Advanced Train-the-Trainer Course

Description: This course will enable participants to cascade training within their employer's service setting within permitted trainer ratios. Successful participants will be licenced to delivery a range of Advanced Modules to employees of their employer. This four day intensive course will provide Tutors with a wide of risk reduction strategies and accompany knowledge to delivery the aforementioned Modules.

PLL (Positive Listening & Learning) Tutor Course

The 3 Day PLL course will be available to all qualified Team-Teach tutors. Only TT tutors will be permitted to lead the 6 hour PLL course.

The 3 Day PLL course will also be available to individuals who have completed a 6 hour PLL course - the 3 Day PLL Certificate will not permit a lead training remit, but will allow them to assist on the delivery of 6 hour PLL courses.
